This week’s Friday Favorites are a trip down memory lane with Flashback Favorites.
Favorite Run: Sweetwater 420 5k
This was the first run I did with a group of friends and we had a blast. Some of us were fast, some of us not and all of us were hungover from Irish Car Bombs the night before. There were hills and it was disorganized. But there was beer and music at the finish line so we were happy.

Favorite Vacation: Charlotte, NC and Edisto Island, SC
Matt and I drove up to Charlotte to visit with my cousin and her family then over to Edisto Island to spend a week on the beach with his family. I am not really a beach person (did my pasty skin give that away?) but I had a blast watching the sunrise on the beach every day, visiting Firefly distillery and relaxing. Matt used to always vacation in Edisto growing up so it was fun to see what all the hype was about.

Favorite Change: Living Alone
When Matt first moved in with me, my two roommates were still living at the house. Instead of kicking them out immediately, we lived with them for about a year. I love them (and the money we saved!!) but I was so happy when we came home from our Edisto Island vacation and they were moved out…even if it meant we had to replace some of the furniture they took with them…

Favorite Reason to Travel: Weddings
I know we have whined a lot about the amount of travel we have done for weddings in the past year and a half, but (for the most part) we had fun at every wedding. And it’s always fun to celebrate with friends.

Favorite Fall Activity: Tailgating
Our house is always filled with visitors every Seminole home game. I love waking up to people sleeping on my living room floor, grilling all day, and laughing all night.

Favorite Surprise: My Mother’s 50th Birthday Party
In February my mother turned 50. February is a very busy time in my father’s business and as a result, my mother has not had a birthday party in the 32 years they have been married. This year we managed to throw her a big surprise party without her having any idea. This January also marked 10 years cancer free so it was an extra special celebration.

Favorite New Hobby: Blogging
I started this little blog to keep myself accountable with my running. I am all about slacking off so this helps keep me in check. Plus, I like to ramble and post blurry pictures of food and my feet. So it’s really a win, win.
