Last while I did some work on the computer, Matt and I watched the worst movie ever known to man: Brake. The movie is 90 minutes long and 80 of those minutes you see nothing but Stephen Dorff locked in a glass box in a trunk with a trucker radio and his cell phone trying to contact people to help him escape from the people that are trying to get him to tell them the location of the President’s secret bunker. Literally. I suggested Matt find something better to watch but he had hopes that the movie would get better.
SPOILER ALERT: It did not get better. 80 minutes into the movie the captor fills the trunk with water to get the location out of him and just as he is about to drown, the trunk is opened and he is told that it was all a ‘test’ to see if he was ready for a promotion to work Presidential security and he passed. Two minutes later he is riding in an ambulance because while in the trunk he was shot, almost drowned and thrown around during a high speed chase. In the ambulance he tells his estranged wife, that was in on the ‘test’, where the bunker is. She then kills him because it was not a test after all and everyone actually just wanted to know bunker location. Then the credits roll. Matt and I have both seen some bad movies but this one takes the cake. That is 90 minutes of our lives that we will never get back. If you ever listen to me about anything, listen to this: DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE.
To cheer myself up, I watched the best thing on television: Betty White’s Off Their Rockers.
Betty White is my idol and this show is a riot. I want to be half as cool as her when I’m 90.
Somewhere in between the worst thing I have ever watched and the best thing I have ever watched, I had dinner:
Breaded chicken, Colby, tomato, cucumber, romaine with pineapple poppy seed dressing (recipe here)
I had to transfer my salad to a bigger plate because I couldn’t stop building it. This may be one of my favorite meals.
I stuck to my plan to rest completely yesterday (hence the embarrassing amount of television I watched) so that I am extra ready for my run today. Even the weather is working with me. It has been 60 degrees and overcast all day; my absolute favorite running weather. Hopefully Matt is ready for me to talk his ear off for 60 wonderful minutes
What is the worst movie you have ever seen?
Brake, hands down.
Do you make your own dressings?
I love homemade dressings soooo much more than anything from a store.

/ January 10, 2013A lot of horror movies would be on that worst movie list. And I love a GOOD horror movie. Transporter was pretty bad. How in hell did they make so many sequels to that one? I was disappointed in Snow White and the Huntsman.

/ January 10, 2013I was disappointed with Snow White too! Besides so cool visuals it was pretty boring and lackluster.
