Welcome to my blog about my never ending love of food, new obsession with running and daily adventures. You can expect lots of avocado, red velvet, references to 90's television and poorly taken iPhone photos. Thanks for stopping by!

Tacos, chocolate and cotton

Well, Matt read my blog post about Lance Armstrong last night and told me I was “completely wrong and Lance is a giant douche who sucks and I have no reason to argue otherwise“. Point taken. I think we agreed to disagree on this one.

Anyway, I never got around to talking about one of my favorite reasons to visit Atlanta: Tin Lizzy’s! Tin Lizzy’s was started by some FSU dudes (go Noles!) and the food is amaze. To start we had guacamole and salsa and some fried pickles:

photo 1-62They have dozens of different kinds of tacos. I stuck with my favorite taco, the Southern Comfort (grilled chicken, goat cheese, fried pickles, green onions and bbq sauce) and the new-to-me Chicken con Queso (fried chicken, red pepper, pico de gallo and topped with queso):

After lunch we hit the road. Matt drove and I dozed off because I wanted to really make sure that I kept the title for World’s Worst Roadtrip Partner. I think that is one title I will not being giving up anytime soon.

I did wake up long enough to see this giant truck of cotton:

Only in the South...

Only in the South…

Don’t they kind of look like giant cannolis? Yum, I could go for a cancoli right about now…

I also made sure my eyes were open long enough to drink my road trip beverage of choice:

absolute most favorite drink ever.

While I was at the rest stop loading up on Yoohoo, I also found my most favorite mint dark chocolate m&ms. Unfortunately I was too busy sleeping and chatting everyone’s ear off to eat them on the drive #chocolateloverfail. This worked out for the best though because I was able to enjoy these minty wonders yesterday while waiting for the movers to show up at the office:

Have you ever had fried pickles?

I have never heard of them until I moved to Tallahassee. They are now one of my favorites.

What are your road trip munchies?

  6. I had fried pickles once and was sick for two days…maybe I shouldn’t have eaten 40 of them in one sitting? I haven’t been able to touch them since…sad.
