In case you missed my ridiculous whining the past couple days, our office is moving. We are moving person by person and Monday was supposed to be my day. However, yesterday I was still waiting to be relocated. Today is looking a lot like yesterday, except without the m&ms.
…which made the day instantly sadder. Of course, as with all things, there are some good and bad points about moving.
Good point: I can wear jeans during the move. Jeans are one step closer to yoga pants so this makes me happy
Bad point (besides the whole packing, unpacking, etc): is that we no longer have an office refrigerator or microwave. This was heart breaking for the girl that loves bringing leftovers/hates spending money on lunch.
Monday for lunch I ventured to Earth Fare to load up on their salad bar:
And yes, I picked through the mixed peppers to only get the red, orange and yellow ones aka the ones I am too cheap to buy normally.
Tuesday I was craving a sandwich so I headed to Publix:
Publix subs are one of the many wonderful things that make this grocery store the best ever. Check out this buzzfeed for other reasons you need more Publix in your life.
Today I went back to Earth Fare for a salad bar…and a treat.
Tomorrow I will be brown bagging it with a PB&J because at this rate, I will spend close to $30 by Friday and cheap-o don’t play that.
After two days of sitting around surrounded my boxes, yesterday afternoon I was ready for a run. My Garmin however, was not. Oops. Guess I need to charge it more than once every two weeks…
We ran with Matt’s Nike+ iPhone app since my phone was also dead. It was a bad day for electronics for my electronics.
We both felt slow, miserable and tired but iPhone said we ran 3.3 miles at an 8:50 pace which is way decent for me these days (and even faster than our Hot Chocolate Run Sunday). I double checked the route on Map My Run because it seemed too good to be true but Nike+ seemed on point. I was pleasantly surprised.
After showering, Matt cooked dinner while I lounged on the couch watching Betty White’s Off Their Rockers and browsing around online to try to spend some Christmas gift cards. Rough night
Any suggestions for lunches that don’t need to be heated or refrigerated?
Did your last run stats reflect how you felt?
Um, not at all. I would’ve sworn we were running a 12 minute mile.
Do you wear heels to work?
I tried to when I started here but that only last about a week. Flats all the way for this gal.

/ January 16, 2013No fridge I can deal with by having a little cooler. No microwave sounds horrendous. How do you feel about trail mix for lunch? PB n J? Ohh, I love PB and Apple sandwhiches, maybe that would work?

Have you ever tried a Harris Teeter sub? I don’t know what a Publix is but I bet they put them to shame…..loaded with meat and veggies and only $3!!
I used to wear heels every.single.day. I rarely do anymore. They just all feel so uncomfortable.
I just found your blog! I love it:-)

/ January 17, 2013I usually bring a small cooler bag with a whole wheat turkey wrap…carrots…hummus…and a handful of almonds and a cheese stick. Hits the spot and I snack on it throughout the day ….on lazy days I bring a few protein bars and grab a starbucks. Still cheaper than a full lunch.
