Welcome to my blog about my never ending love of food, new obsession with running and daily adventures. You can expect lots of avocado, red velvet, references to 90's television and poorly taken iPhone photos. Thanks for stopping by!

A fried egg sandwich and a scaredy cat

After finishing my first non-awful run of the week yesterday, I came home and did what I do every Friday afternoon: make a fried egg sandwich.

photo 2-75I stand by the belief that nothing tastes better than a fried egg mixed with avocado. I also decided to load up on some broccoli to make up for yesterday’s awful eating. I could eat steamed broccoli all day but I’d rather eat cardboard than raw broccoli.

We’ve been out of town a lot the past two weeks so today was spent tackling the loads and loads of laundry that have piled up while I caught up on Nashville. Don’t judge me. I have a weak spot for crap TV. In between loads I also did some blogging. One of my favorite things to do is look at the search terms that bring people to Runner Girl Eats. Friday was full of especially interesting terms:

photo 3John smell like poo? Florida lobster belly? No idea what those have to do with my ramblings. Judging by the ‘rick scott satan‘, I am not the only one trying to figure out what was going on at the Old Capitol yesterday. And, per usual, candy. I think we all know why that one is there. After doing 14 loads of laundry and being a complete waste of life all day, I was in no mood to cook dinner so I convinced Matt to make me some tacos.

Thanks for dinner, Matt!

I had two of these way overly stuffed tacos. Seriously, the key to happiness is organic ground beef, colby cheese, tomato and avocado wrapped in a tortilla. How do you say “yum” in Spanish? Because that’s what these are.

We are wild party people (not) so we decided to stay in Friday night. I know, shocker. We pulled out all the stops to make sure that it was a night to remember. And by all the stops I mean wine and mint m&ms.

Nothing says class like a bottle of wine and a mini-Tupperware full of Christmas mint m&ms in January. In case you were wondering, Cabernet Sauvignon is the perfect wine to pair with mint M&Ms. I am basically a sommelier so you can trust me. And by basically, I mean not even close.

To continue with our Friday night party we decided to check out the new Kevin Bacon show The Following. This show was really good but completely terrified me. If I want to sleep through the night, I should probably not watch this show ever again. But that probably won’t happen so tomorrow I will go shopping for a night light instead. After The Following I made Matt watch several episodes of the New Girl so that I could go to bed with more Zooey and less serial killer running through my head.

Bloggers: what are the terms that bring people to your page?

Sweaty girl is still the most searched term. I am oddly honored by this.

Thoughts on scary movies/tv?

I am a wimp and should not watch anything too scary for the Disney channel.

  2. Ha. Sweaty girl is awesome! Go with it.
I am learning that I am increasingly weird because I LOVE raw broccoli and everyone else hates it. My dog even loves the raw stalks that I snap the crowns off. She comes running in from another room when she hears me get the broccoli out. Totally normal dog.

  3. Bahahaha sweaty girl. That’s hilarious. I get some pretty random ones but that’s one that hasn’t come up yet. I love catching up on TV too when I’m not home for a long time.

  6. My niece says something that sounds like “delish-eee-oh-so” and she watches a lot of Dora so maybe that is Spanish for yum?

  11. I love scary movies and TV. The scarier, the better, and I love your fried egg sandwich and even your meaty tacos (weird…hmmm). I got a lot of searches on anything with word clean, but the big one lately has been Medusa. It makes me laugh every time.
