That I can not handle coffee? Monday morning I was a jittery ball of nonsense. Why, oh why do you taste so good iced coffee with crème brulee creamer?
This wouldn’t have been so bad if there were a million things that needed to get done but honestly it was a bit of a slow day at work. So what is a girl to do when she is trapped inside with lots of energy? Explore our new building ie walk up and down the stairs a few times and stroll around the outside of the building in the gorgeous weather.
Unfortunately, this did not really help me get rid of the jitters. I was a heart-racing fool until well after lunch. At least I was able to sit still long enough to eat the yummy leftovers from yesterdays mid day feast:
Sausage, broccoli, and sweet potato fries.
This didn’t totally satisfy me but that’s where the Twix came in:
And then the internet made me the happiest girl in the whole wide world. If you like cute funny kids and awesome dance moves, please watch this.
I will most definitely vote for this guy in 34 years.
Are you a coffee drinker?
I am not, apparently.
Do you take walk breaks at work?
Whenever I get the chance. I have even started going to the bathroom on a different floor to get in some non-desk time.

/ January 29, 2013I am jealous of your Florida winters! That looks amazing!
And I LOVE that Youtube video! I found it on Facebook a few days ago and that kid is too cute!

/ January 29, 2013I am a huge coffee drinker. It used to make me jittery, but now I just associate that feeling with being very productive haha.

/ January 29, 2013Everyone keeps saying ill get used to it but I think I’m just going to stick with the occassional chai tea

/ January 29, 2013Haha this made me laugh. I’m not a coffee drinker, hate the taste, but something tells me I would have a very similar reaction to it that you did. The twix would do the trick for me too
Runner Girl Eats
/ January 29, 2013I’m not a fan of the taste either. I think I only like ‘coffee’ bc I make it with 80% flavored creamers lol

/ January 29, 2013i love coffee but it sure doesn’t like me lol i never sleep that night when i have it. i would love to go for a walk on my breaks, but there is never enough time to eat, walk , and make sure i get back in time. those sweet potato fries looks awesome!!

/ January 29, 2013Yea I think I’m abandoning my mission to be a coffee drinker. Back to tea it is

/ January 29, 2013I am a coffee drinker. But only one cup in the morning. I sometimes take the dogs for a walk during the day. Just to get out of the house.

/ January 29, 2013For some reason, coffee has no effect on me (hello coffee addiction) and I love the way it tastes… Getting jitters is probably a good thing, because that would mean I would drink less of it! I adore that video, that kid just rocks my socks!

/ January 30, 2013I hope when I have kids they are as cool as him!

/ January 29, 2013I’m a coffee addict. Most people learn quickly not to talk to me until I’ve had at least 2 cups. I’ve cut down from drinking it all day to just the mornings, then I switch to tea. I get the crazy jitters from starbucks.

/ January 30, 2013All day?! I’d be a hot mess,

/ January 29, 2013Good idea about going to a bathroom on another floor. I love walks but I never take the time to go on one. I could definitely use one though. Maybe I’ll go for one today since the weather’s nice! I totally relate with you on the coffee jitters. I don’t drink caffeine usually but when I would for exams in school, I would feel so strange.

/ January 30, 2013Yea people think I’m nuts but I love getting in a lil stair climb whenever possible.

/ January 29, 2013I swear, my walks during my break are what keep me sane during the work day. I gotta get outta the office and move around, even if it’s just a walk up and down the sidewalk.
Runner Girl Eats
/ January 30, 2013I’m with you. All day in the office can drive me nuts!

/ January 29, 2013I am a tea drinker
I walk at work all the time, but if I get the chance I take the stairs instead of the elevator!
Runner Girl Eats
/ January 30, 2013I have to be on I realllyyyy high floor to not take the stairs. In college I always parked on the 6th floor of the garage and walked up and down.

/ January 29, 2013Walk breaks at work are key to living a long life. Seriously! http://www.npr.org/2011/04/25/135575490/sitting-all-day-worse-for-you-than-you-might-think I make sure to get up at least every hour and walk for about 10 minutes or so. On days when I’m too busy to leave my desk I just kind of stand up and do my work in place. Looks kinda awkward but oh well!
Runner Girl Eats
/ January 30, 2013I’ve been hearing sooooo much about how sitting is killing us. I’m trying to find a way to craft a standing desk since my work won’t get me one lol everyone thinks I’m nuts!
Natalie @ Twenty-Something Talk
/ January 29, 2013I’m really not a coffee person. The only “coffee” I drink is the occassional white chocolate mocha from starbucks, and that’s only once every few months. I really just don’t like the way it makes me feel, and I definitely can’t be trusted on caffeine!
I usually don’t have time for walk “breaks” at work, but most of my day is spent running around our office from cubicle to cubicle like a crazy person so I probably don’t need one!
Runner Girl Eats
/ January 30, 2013My old job involved a lot of walking and I miss it. I don’t think I’m cut out for desk work!
Nerri
/ January 29, 2013I can’t survive without coffee! I’m basically not human til I’ve gotten a cup in me.

/ January 30, 2013Haha my mom is the same way!
