When will I learn…

That I can not handle coffee? Monday morning I was a jittery ball of nonsense. Why, oh why do you taste so good iced coffee with crème brulee creamer?

Nothing says cold season like hand sanitizer everywhere...

This wouldn’t have been so bad if there were a million things that needed to get done but honestly it was a bit of a slow day at work. So what is a girl to do when she is trapped inside with lots of energy? Explore our new building ie walk up and down the stairs a few times and stroll around the outside of the building in the gorgeous weather.

Florida winters aren't so bad ;)

Unfortunately, this did not really help me get rid of the jitters. I was a heart-racing fool until well after lunch. At least I was able to sit still long enough to eat the yummy leftovers from yesterdays mid day feast:

This didn’t totally satisfy me but that’s where the Twix came in:

It's impossible to have just one.

And then the internet made me the happiest girl in the whole wide world. If you like cute funny kids and awesome dance moves, please watch this.

I will most definitely vote for this guy in 34 years.

Are you a coffee drinker?

I am not, apparently.

Do you take walk breaks at work?

Whenever I get the chance. I have even started going to the bathroom on a different floor to get in some non-desk time.

  2. I am a huge coffee drinker. It used to make me jittery, but now I just associate that feeling with being very productive haha.

  3. Haha this made me laugh. I’m not a coffee drinker, hate the taste, but something tells me I would have a very similar reaction to it that you did. The twix would do the trick for me too ;)

  5. I am a coffee drinker. But only one cup in the morning. I sometimes take the dogs for a walk during the day. Just to get out of the house.

  6. For some reason, coffee has no effect on me (hello coffee addiction) and I love the way it tastes… Getting jitters is probably a good thing, because that would mean I would drink less of it! I adore that video, that kid just rocks my socks!

  7. I’m a coffee addict. Most people learn quickly not to talk to me until I’ve had at least 2 cups. I’ve cut down from drinking it all day to just the mornings, then I switch to tea. I get the crazy jitters from starbucks.

  8. Good idea about going to a bathroom on another floor. I love walks but I never take the time to go on one. I could definitely use one though. Maybe I’ll go for one today since the weather’s nice! I totally relate with you on the coffee jitters. I don’t drink caffeine usually but when I would for exams in school, I would feel so strange.

  9. I swear, my walks during my break are what keep me sane during the work day. I gotta get outta the office and move around, even if it’s just a walk up and down the sidewalk.

  10. I am a tea drinker :) I walk at work all the time, but if I get the chance I take the stairs instead of the elevator!

    • I have to be on I realllyyyy high floor to not take the stairs. In college I always parked on the 6th floor of the garage and walked up and down.

  11. Walk breaks at work are key to living a long life. Seriously! http://www.npr.org/2011/04/25/135575490/sitting-all-day-worse-for-you-than-you-might-think I make sure to get up at least every hour and walk for about 10 minutes or so. On days when I’m too busy to leave my desk I just kind of stand up and do my work in place. Looks kinda awkward but oh well!

    • I’ve been hearing sooooo much about how sitting is killing us. I’m trying to find a way to craft a standing desk since my work won’t get me one lol everyone thinks I’m nuts!

  12. I’m really not a coffee person. The only “coffee” I drink is the occassional white chocolate mocha from starbucks, and that’s only once every few months. I really just don’t like the way it makes me feel, and I definitely can’t be trusted on caffeine!

I usually don’t have time for walk “breaks” at work, but most of my day is spent running around our office from cubicle to cubicle like a crazy person so I probably don’t need one!
