The beautiful weekend weather has officially disappeared. Yesterday was grey and gross. Today is grey and gross. Tomorrow is supposed to be grey and gross. You see where this is going. Luckily a coworker gave me a new aloe plant to spruce up my window and my morning:
I worked late last night so I made my recovery run day a rest day and I am really happy I did because I am seriously itching for some cross training today. It will be limited to inside work thanks to Mother Nature but I am thinking a living room yoga session will do my body (and mind) good. Also, thanks to a late work night, I do not have any leftovers for lunch so I made a quick stop at Publix to pick this up:
Back in the day when I used to work a lot of 16 hour shifts, me and Kashi frozen meals were good friends. They are quick, easy, tasty and as far as frozen meals go, not too bad for you. I rarely eat any kind of frozen meal these days but it did the job today.
I still have my stash of coconut M&Ms at my desk so I treated myself to a little mid day dessert. One of the pieces was very oddly shaped and I got weirded out so I didn’t eat it.
Go figure I will eat slimy oysters in a shot of booze but I throw away a misshaped piece of candy. I never thought the day would come that I turned down a piece of candy, but here we are.
Do you eat frozen meals? Which brand?
DO you have a green thumb?
Not at all. This aloe plant will be dead in 4 days.

/ February 12, 2013I used to eat lean cuisines like it was my life…lean pockets, and paninis, not so much anymore! my step son likes the crappy dollar frozen meals, with the rubbery chicken nuggets, gross!

/ February 12, 2013I do not miss my days of frozen meals! But when I have to have them the Kashi ones are my best bet.

/ February 12, 2013I eat more frozen food than I should admit. It’s a real problem but Kashi waffles are SO DELICIOUS! Our weather traded places because it’s gorgeous here for the first time in weeks. I’m so excited for some sunshine.
Runner Girl Eats
/ February 12, 2013I haven’t tried the waffles because I know I’d love them lol

/ February 12, 2013Maybe the ladybugs will help keep the plant alive? NO green thumb here. Best I do is with roses and that is because I plant them and then ignore them.

/ February 12, 2013Haha I didn’t think of that! Hopefully the lady bugs will save the aloe

/ February 12, 2013I don’t usually eat frozen meals either but I would definitely try Kashi brand. For the longest time, I thought Lean Cuisines were healthy. Now I know better!

/ February 12, 2013The kashi really aren’t bad! I can pronounce all of the ingredients which is usually my test for processed foods

/ February 12, 2013Haha! This just made me laugh out loud. I like Amy’s frozen pizzas…the pesto one is great. Kashi pizzas are really good, too! I kill plants the second I touch them, so I would be impressed if I could even keep your aloe plant alive for the whole day.

/ February 12, 2013I have never tried Amy’s but I do like the kashi pizzas. The mushroom was my go to!

/ February 12, 2013I try to stay away from frozen meals, but when I am in a pinch I will eat Amy’s Organic frozen meals. Quite a few of them are pretty delicious!!

/ February 12, 2013I like lean cuisines, they make up a few of my meals a week, just because its such a pain to cook for one person and see good food and produce go to waste because I can’t finish it quick enough.
Do you use a specific DVD for yoga when you do it at home?
Runner Girl Eats
/ February 13, 2013I don’t. I use to have the skinnygirl yoga with bethenny from RHONYC but it disappeared. Lately I’ve been using Comcast on demand but its not that great. I’m looking into DVD options now.

/ February 12, 2013I can’t seem to get full on frozen meals! If I have some fruit or veggies to eat on the side I’m fine though!

/ February 12, 2013I’m not really a frozen meal type of gal. I used to get them for the nights when I was in class really late and would be starving by the time I got out of class and got home, but now I just make a TON of food when I make a meal so I have a million leftovers to serve this purpose. I have zero green thumbs, but I love to eat green foods. So I’m thankful for the people in the world who do have green thumbs. They keep me fed and happy.

/ February 13, 2013I’m a big fan of leftovers too! We always try to have enough leftovers for one more meal.

/ February 12, 2013I have a stash of lean cuisine/healthy choice meals in my fridge always – for those late-night, REALLY lazy days where you just don’t feel like cooking. Once in a while it’s so good!

/ February 12, 2013Somehow I managed to kill 2 cacti. But I have had a bamboo plant for almost a year now and that is still trucking along! Hope your aloe plant likes its new home. Sorry its grey and gross where you’re at. It’s been crappy in Philly too..oh well, it’s bound to get sunny again
Runner Girl Eats
/ February 13, 2013I have bamboo sticks in a vase that have lived for years! They are the one thing I can’t kill lol

/ February 12, 2013I usually avoid frozen meals since there are some ingredients that skeeve me out. I do love Amy’s vegan enchiladas though! I just wish it were a bigger portion. I always supplement with lots of chips and guac, haha.

/ February 13, 2013Yea I was starving about 2 hrs after I are this lol
