Fueling for a TV Watching Marathon with Emergen-C

Today was just what the doctor ordered. I feel a gazillion times better and I am officially caught up on all TV shows ever created. Except for the Biggest Loser because Matt was home with me and he absolutely hates the BL and refuses to watch it, crazy right?! Normally this would bother me but he spent the afternoon painting me an octopus so that made up for delaying my BL makeovers-watching.

Nothing says love like a giant octopus.

Nothing says love like a giant octopus.

Why is he painting me an octopus, you ask? Because every time I see a painting/drawing/photograph of an octopus and say “Oh, I like that”, Matt says “I could do that.” Bluff: called. Sunday I went to Michael’s to pick up some octopus painting supplies and Easter baskets:

Can't wait until these babies are filled with candy!

I even started to feel ready to run towards the end of the day but decided against pushing too much so stuck to a TV watching marathon. Things that were watched between naps and Emergen-C chugging were: Argo (Fantastic btw. Go see it), Red Widow premier (has potential), last week’s The Following (still has my interest/scares the crappola out of me) and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (Matt whined the whole 58 minutes). Luckily he was a much bigger fan of dinner than the cougars ladies of Beverly Hills.

#1 Comfort Food of All Time

#1 Comfort Food of All Time

A few of you asked for the soup recipe and it is actually the recipe that I posted on last Friday Favorites that you can find HERE. I plopped the veggies and broth in the Crock-pot then set it for LOW for 6 hours. I then made the roux and let it sit on LOW for another 30 minutes while I made a grilled cheese in the panini press.

This soup was just the right amount of creamy and super delicious. Honestly, there is nothing better than grilled cheese and tomato soup…except maybe my new favorite dessert:

I bought these on a whim the other day and I am so glad I did. This was a much better impulse buy than my music after last week’s Rowlaties class.

Are you artistic?

Not at all.

Favorite animal?

Bees and octopi. And I could watch sea otters all day long.

Do you eat dessert everyday?

Sometimes it’s a single piece of Dove dark chocolate, sometimes its an ice cream sundae. But I def have something sweet every. single. night.

  1. I am not artistic at all! I am extremely impressed that he’s painting you a picture! I have something sweet every day too…life is no fun otherwise in my opinion. Glad to see you had a relaxing day and are starting to feel a bit better :)

  6. Owls, any kind of cat. I don’t have dessert every day but right now I am storing FroYo in my freezer!
No artistic talent of my own but I can copy crafty-type things.

  7. Sharks and bears. And sea turtles.. I basically love a lot of animals except horses (I hate and fear them). I do eat dessert like every day..probably too much of it and probably why I have gained weight recently. Ooops, back on the train! I am not artistic but I am creative and while I can’t draw, I can craft things ;) I am an artist in the kitchen..and by that I mean I make good food.

  8. I eat dessert MULTIPLE times a day…I cannot go one single day without something chocolatey. Some days it’s a LOT and some days it’s just a little.
