Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! I hope you are all as excited as I am to be just a few hours away from sweet freedom. This weekend is the beginning of daylight savings time which means that blistering summer heat is just days away. My plan this weekend is to spend as much time outside as possible before Florida becomes a humidified hell. For those of you snowed in (sorry!), here are some fun internet finds to get you through the cold, snowy weekend:

Favorite Office Necessity: The Keyboard Candy Jar

This would look 1 million times more professional than the giant bag of m&ms I currently have sitting by my keyboard.

Favorite Destination: Alaska

I have been casually researching honeymoon options (yes, before caterers, DJs, dress, etc) and have come across some seriously dreamy places ie Alaska.

Favorite Workout: Rowing

I have recently fallen head over heels in love with rowing and I am not alone. Read THIS article for reasons why runners should row and great rowing workouts.

Favorite Clothing Collection: Mad Men by Banana Republic

I am mad about Mad Men. I most certainly was born decades late because I was meant to be in the world of Don Draper not Justin Bieber. I want everything in this collection.

Favorite Crock-Pot Dish: Chocolate Pudding Cake

How have I never thought to make dessert in a slow cooker?! Genius.

Favorite Camping Gear: The Tent City

photo 4-61 photo 5-31I NEED this (and a banjo) and my life will be complete.

Favorite Meatless Dish: Sriracha Marinated Butternut Squash and Black Bean Tacos

Matt has finally agreed to going meatless one day a week and this meal will hopefully make him realize meat free can still be tasty.

Favorite Home Accessory: His and Her Side Pillow Cases

We have a California king bed. Yet somehow I spend every night clinging on to the edge for dear life.

Favorite Viral Video: Harlem Shake on a Plane

I may be late to the Harlem Shake party but I absolutely love this airborne insanity. Amazeballs.

What was your favorite workout of the week?

Favorite vacation spot?

I need more honeymoon suggestions ;)

  1. Not even kidding you, I am totally asking for that tent city for my birthday this summer. And as soon as I get a big girl job, I am buying that candy keyboard a my first purchase. How did you find those!? My grandma and aunt went to Alaska a few months ago and said it was the best trip they have ever been on. I definitely recommend it :)

  9. As much as I hate cold/snow/anything not in the Southeast, Alaska is a place I’d love to visit as well! I wanna do a resort in a Spanish speaking country for my honeymoon.. but again, I need a man first! My parents went to Disney World for their honeymoon!

  11. Alaska would be nice for a honeymoon. It’s supposed to be beautiful. Just make sure you go when the daylight hours aren’t all out of whack, or when it’s dark out 24 hours a day! And I want that tent city. It would be perfect for camping trips with my Bonnies!
